Hi... .... and welcome to my site!
I hope you will find the information you are looking for. After a couple of years at the theatrical stage, it has been satisfying to turn into more compositary work. The music- & pantomime-perfomance "Veggen" opened at Bergen International Music Festival in May, and we were thrilled to experience such a great reception. In early Dec. I was also honoured to receive NOPA´s (Norwegian Guild of pop composers) award of best compositary Work 2011. What a joy. These days I am also well situated in my basement studio with my beloved Macbook, writing music for a new project. Wonderful, sharp, witty & heartbreaking stories by lyricist Mike McGurk; and it is a pleasure to dress them in music....!
In between, concert schedules will bring me to known & unknown places national and abroad. I am joining up again with some old friends this autumn; travelling & performing with acclaimed pianist Atle Halstensen is always joyful. The Ibsen-based cabaretperformance "Peer Gynt- World Citizen by Nature" is on tour again in October. And for the first time in years, I am doing some duo-concerts with mr. Man: Sigvart Dagsland. Just the two of us & one shared Grand Piano. He is such a solid performer, and has the best voice in Scandinavia... And he happens to be my husband, too...:-)
Next year will amongst other things bring new theatrical experiences, as an actress in acclaimed Norwegian director Tore Vagn Lid´s new play "Punishment". Looking forward to work with him.
