from the Hordaland Theater:
WALLS
A tumbledown wall …
Dust in the air …
What has happened?
Hordaland Theatre have let their imagination loose on a story about losing and finding, about what a wall has been, is now and can become. «Walls» is a musical, visual and magical performance, inspired by events taking place all over the world.
The world premiere took place in May, 2011, at the Bergen International Festival. With its wide presentations of performances within music, theater and visual arts, it is the largest festival of its kind in the Nordic countries. «Walls» received excellent reviews: «Walls is an excellent example of what theater for children and young people can and should be», wrote Aftenposten, Norways leading newspaper. «Wonderful about that which separates us», «compelling and evocative music» and «wonderfully absurd» were quotes from other critics.
A small but significant theather institution: this latest production builds on the Hordaland Theatre´s longstanding tradition of creating characteristic performances for young people.
