The Concert

"The Concert" - imagine a symphony! Ljudmil and Karoline have talked about working together for a long time - about creating a compositional work and performance based on Eastern European puppetry traditions: Great Stories told with the help of simple props, thrilling lighting designs and engaging and melodious music. In the spring of 2005 they journeyed to Prague for inspiration. "We experienced true theater," Karoline says, "amusing, overwhelming and fantastic musical theater. Hands becoming gloves, which by using black light become birds that fly openly across the stage. Clowns, stumbling around - hysterically funny, yet still poetic. Beautiful music that can move in and out of cliché. And we knew more than ever that we wanted to work in this kind of genre...!"

Now, after almost a year of intense chorographical and musical work, their piece is ready to be performed: the opening night will be at the Ole Bull Theater, on the11th of October. "The Concert": A Symphony Fantastique for one Conductor and an imaginary Orchestra....!
